Often I am asked about types of cameras and which one I should use. The obvious answer is of course whatever camera you have with you or that you have access to. The problem with this is that we all carry a phone with a camera, and while these are increasingly more and more capable as cameras, they still shoot files that have a high amount of compression, are only 8 bit (256 tones per colour channel) and rarely make for good prints.
